Judging panel

The judging panel is expected to comprise:

Alison Broom - Maidstone Borough Council's Director of Prosperity and Regeneration
Cllr Malcolm Greer - Maidstone Borough Council's Cabinet Member for Regeneration
Cllr Kevin Lynes - Kent County Council's Cabinet Member for Regeneration
Francine Norris - University for the Creative Arts
John Farmer - KCC Highways Engineer
Robert Sakula - Ash Sakula Architects, acting as the RIBA Architect Advisor

James Porter - RIBA Competitions Office (Competitions Officer, Observer)*

* James Porter will attend the assessments to document the selection process and to answer procedural matters.  Officers from Maidstone Borough Council and/or their appointed consultants will also attend the assessments to provide technical advice, support and input.

If a judge is unable to continue to act through illness or any other cause, the promoter, in consultation with the RIBA, reserves the right to appoint an alternative panel member.
